here we go...

Alright team. This is it. TWO of my dreams are coming true. After much prayer and encouragement from the people in my life, I am moving across the world. In less than a month, I will call Melbourne, Australia (!!!!!!!!) my new home. This has been such an ongoing dream of mine. For years I have had an infatuation with Australia, and a huge desire to live there, or at least visit. I have tried on multiple occasions to make it over to Australia, and it has just never worked out..until now! My sweet friend Abby and I are taking off on what will be an incredible chapter of our lives. We are moving to a place where Christmas is celebrated in the middle of the summer, every single word is somehow shortened, and you drive on the opposite side of the road. What am I thinking? Am I crazy? This is so outside of my personality it is not even funny...and I thought moving to Santa Cruz for 10 weeks was a leap of faith! Talk about being pushed out of your comfort zone! The great Lindsay Hedlund has told me multiple times that the Lord works wonders when we are uncomfortable. It forces us to fully rely on Him. That is what I want this year to be about – dependence.

My second dream is to be a teacher! I didn't even know this was a dream of mine until a few years ago, but I have no doubt that the Lord is calling me into that profession. Besides the fact that it is insanely rewarding, it is so fun to see the potential that kids have, and help them see that in themselves. Thats why I want to work with the older elementary kiddos. They are starting to understand what you are pushing them towards.

YALL THIS IS CRAZY!! I'M MOVING TO AUSTRALIA! WHAAAAATTT??? ok, sorry it just hits me every once in a while. wow.

Alright, who knows how much I'll actually update this thing. I'm not making any promises here, I'm just a weakling and gave into peer pressure!

Let me update you on the past month, and show you how incredibly blessed I am. I got to spend time with almost every single best friend I've had in college. All of these people are so dear to me and I’m glad I’m stuck with them for the rest of my life (:

Kicking summer off right with a family night

I have watched all of their relationships be built from the ground up, and now they are all married!

These girls are the first people I ever shared my whole testimony with. They have seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and the REALLY ugly!

The fabs, minus kim, got together for our almost annual team time. And now, there is a little one coming that we get to meet soon!

The lake! This was the perfect last weekend with my best friends. Give or take a few, this is my big dysfunctional forever family. Lets start planning those best friend trips already! I want to see every single one of you in the same place at the same time when I come home next summer

“Even though we change and we’re all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not still friends.” - Allison Mosher

so much love!
